The latest Hyundai Santa Cruz feels like something other than a typical pickup truck. It combines a truck bed with the qualities of a Sport Adventure Vehicle (SUV) with a rugged, athletic nature. It has a comfortable cabin and an open bed, and importantly, it has a budget-friendly starting price.
Trim Levels
The 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz models have five trim levels:
Hyundai Santa Cruz SE
The Hyundai Santa Cruz SE trim level has impressed many customers at Hampton Hyundai with its well-equipped cabin. It offers Newburyport, MA, shoppers two USB ports in the front row and an eight-inch touchscreen. That touchscreen comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and HD Radio. This trim's digital instrument cluster measures more than four inches, and its driver-assist systems can look out for you. They include blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assistance, and forward collision-avoidance assist.
Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL
Hyundai has upgraded the Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL trim level with proximity key entry, push-button start, and remote start. Its dual-zone automatic climate control system can do an excellent job of getting the cabin to a comfortable temperature. You'll also like how the Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL trim level can keep you warm with its heated front seats.
Hyundai Santa Cruz Knight
With its turbocharged engine, the Hyundai Santa Cruz Night trim level feels energetic. It seems upscale with its power moonroof, LED interior lights, and black H-Tex upholstery. This trim has a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Built-in navigation keeps York, ME, drivers moving in the right direction.
Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT
The 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT trim level replaces the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL Premium trim. Its technology matches the Hyundai Santa Cruz Night trim level, with a few exceptions. The Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT trim level has an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a digital key program. Through this program, Portsmouth drivers will want to program a smartphone to replace a traditional key fob.
Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited
On the Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited trim level, even more features are in place. This trim's amenities include a surround-view monitor and customizable ambient lighting with 64 color options. Further, the Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited trim level offers only leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats.
Performance
The Hyundai Santa Cruz SE and Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL trim levels offer excellent power, with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. They rely on 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engines, which are upgradable to all-wheel drive.
The Hyundai Santa Cruz Night, Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT, and Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited trim levels have more capability. They run on 2.5-liter engines, too, but their engines have turbochargers. They're able to make more than 280 horsepower as well as over 310 pound-feet of torque. An important point is that this turbocharged engine comes standard with all-wheel drive. In addition, instead of being paired with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission, it works with an eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. This more advanced transmission comes with paddle shifters that allow you to shift at specific times.
Exterior
Truck Bed
Since the new Hyundai Santa Cruz has a bed that measures 52.1 inches long, it can hold anything from work equipment to sports gear. A tonneau cover can be included with the newest Hyundai Santa Cruz, and this would give you a convenient way to protect your belongings when you're on Epping roads. For smaller items, use the lockable under-bed storage compartment. The bed itself can have several additions that can come in handy. Those include heavy-duty cargo D-rings, storage compartments built into the sidewalls, and an adjustable utility track rail and cleat system. When your hands are loaded with cargo, take advantage of the remote-release tailgate. Integrated rear bumper steps can boost you when you have to check on something, and the available rear sliding glass window can be helpful, too.
Other Exterior Features
Other exterior components greatly add to the new Hyundai Santa Cruz. This vehicle features heated side mirrors and roof side rails. Its LED headlights are bright and modern, complemented by LED daytime running lights, taillights, and cargo lights. The bed can also come with LED lights for extra illumination.
